G.Y.S.T. Day
Hi guys, now I know so far all my posts have been about planning and getting ready for this new year and I promise it wont always be the same, however today was my "G.Y.S.T." day and I wanted to share what my day consisted of. I got this saying from another blogger that I follow and it truly has helped me. Not only in the sense that I get my stuff done, it has helped in a 'fun' way to get my stuff done, so, here we go. Many of you know Chris, my boyfriend, he gets home from work in the early evening and what makes this fun for me, is challenging myself to get everything done before he gets home. G.Y.S.T. stands for "getting your stuff together" Normally this would be sort of a Sunday routine just because its at the beginning of the week and being prepared is always a must. So to start out, make a list; I make a new list for every month including my monthly goals and such. What I put on this G.Y.S.T. list is; chores, beauty, goals, evening relax and upcoming events. The list can include much more depending on your daily routines. Like always after waking up and doing my morning 'coffee and Potter' I get a move on with my G.Y.S.T.ing. Starting off with my chores I like to have everything clean before I start making a mess with my crafting and cooking. After my chores list I get ready for my day which falls under beauty. Once I'm completely ready for my day, I move onto my goal list which has 3 types of goals; short term, meaning today or weekly goals, monthly goals, which speaks for itself and long term goals, such as bigger things that I want to accomplish in 2018 or later down the road. Having finished my G.Y.S.T list, I move onto my 'crafty things'.
Recently I've been trying to teach myself calligraphy {which isn't nearly the best yet} so I wanted to make a couple of projects for my self / family to practice. I painted on a rock, and made a door sign. The rock was simply found in my back yard and the sign was actually a part of my fence that was unused. So I broke down some of the wood into similar sizes, glued them together {which was difficult because I didn't read the directions for gorilla glue and my hands are completely filthy and rough now} and attempted HOME SWEET HOME. {don't make fun of my "S"}
After Chris got home, dinner was made and my G.Y.S.T. day was complete I made myself some fantastic 'Swiss Miss' and called it a night. Considering I haven't been feeling well this week, it was over all a good day and I totally feel prepared for the last couple of days of my week. Hopefully you enjoyed my G.Y.S.T. Day as much as I did.
Happy Blogging. xoxo.
